yipee

I went to watch Bodyguard and Assassins this morning with David Liou and his cousin at Ipoh Parade. Then, we went to fetch Kah Ho and apparently wanted to play table tennis in the Ipoh Stadium but he do not have the ball. LOL.. that is quite lame. We decided to go to Jusco and played the hockey and basketball machine in the arcade. It was quite fun though.

So, I reached home safely and on time.
Because in a few minutes time, I am heading to Kuala Lumpur.
Then only go to Pahang!

See ya guys!

Post Christmas

Yesterday, 26 December was the anniversary for the deadly tsunami that had hit Indonesia, Thailand, Sri Lanka and other parts of the world, which took a total of 250,000 lives, in the year 2004. Let's give them a few seconds of out prayers to the victims and the family of the victims.

I went to Jusco with my parents for shopping and lunch somewhere nearby.

At night, played mahjong with my mum and my uncle. Later, my auntie took over my mum. So, we played and played, I just played normally, playing big and risky, thought that it was okay since we were not really playing money. So, i seldom win and most of time throw a piece that made them win. And of course, I played the three people version which most malaysians play.

When we reach the end of the game, only I realised that they are playing for money! I was like ohmygoodness, I lost quite a lot of rounds and I would have been more strategic if i knew I was dealing with real money. Oh ya, by the way, i took the third place is because my father was sleeping on the couch while my mum was dozing off already.

So, it was totally...(speechless). I lost a total of RM20.
I hope I really will earn back!
By the way, we played till 3am haha..

=======================

As for today, woke up at 2pm, and watch tv till now.

Finally I'm Back

I reached Ipoh yesterday.
Tried to pack my stuffs but there are too much to pack, will leave some for today to take care.

Later going out with Ian to play Badminton in the Stadium.
And it will be the first time driving. By the way, I did not get to drive home.

I'm starting to consider my future, by looking at universities courses.
Had a long talk with my father in the car yesterday, and he has given me several options.

(1) Full Scholarship and i could go anywhere (duh..obvious right?)
(2) Partial Scholarship and can go anywhere.
(3) Free Tuition fees

Yeap, he said he would fund me for the first year and asked me to look for a part time job to finance myself for the subsequent years.

I would try to find courses that interests me as well as are available for free (it is an interesting fact that i didn't know it exists, thinking of it free, cool!) Scholarship is in a difficult position for me to apply as I know that I would not excel with flying colours, at most I think i will get 2 As which is not eligible for scholarship, maybe for partial.

Researching... regret never took SATs in Junior College.
But fret not, i still have lots of time, also looking at toefl.

I have still a long way to go and find my passion.

Busying around everywhere

My parents came down to Singapore last Saturday. Since then, we have been going places to eat, and shopping malls as well as bazaar locations to shop. We ate quite a lot of outside food but some are delicious.

We went to Island Creamery again, and this time round, my dad took a pictures of us and pasted it onto the wall of island creamery. So, to my friends who goes there again, you can search for me amidst the thousands of pictures there! haha.. that is a difficult task!

I can't really remember where exactly did we go, so I won't spend time writing down them here.

Just a few updates. I will be going back to Ipoh tomorrow. So, I will probably be free for a few days before my family takes me to an outskirt vacation at Lucky Valley in the Pahang State. Then, I will be coming back to Singapore on the 4-5th to join the class chalet and back to Ipoh. Later on, there are a few plans that yet to be decided, including malaysian scholars trip to either penang or ipoh that is tentatively planned and me going to KL to shop with my sister before we go to Dubai in late January.

As for the far future, no concrete plans have been made!

Stages of life

Finally, we persevere through a stage of life and it is time to move on. As always, we need to decide on something important to determine the direction you are moving towards. Tough choices have to be made. Once a decision is made, it is extremely difficult to turn back. And thus, we have to think and pick the right choice meticulously.

Well, everyone will face their own problem. Some would move on easily as they have a clear mind of what they expect themselves in the future, but some struggling with choices.

For me, it is time to really sit down and think about what course I'm going to study in University. Only then, then I could only decide on the options of choosing a university whether or not is it overseas, Singapore or even Malaysia. Applying for universities isn't that simple as the surface could seemed to be, it requires whole lot of effort to churn out a personal essay and so on. I might feel some sort of regret for not taking my tertiary education seriously before my exams, while my peers have already started to think far.

However, the topic of interest has always bothered me. I really could not determine what really interests me. Also, the question of ability also do bothers me, what if i'm interested and i don't have the ability? Mixed feelings arises as ability can be developed in the long run as long as you have the passion and impetus to learn.

I have been lending advice to many people on their various problems and also successfully came out with logical and sound explanations and solutions. And there are 101 reasons for me, to not worry anything. There's a saying, 船到桥头自然直. Problems still arises and these can be attributed to emotions and feelings. Nobody can help me, but only me could. Parents and friends give advices, but you got to listen and help yourselves. I've listen to advices to many friends already, and started to collate all of their opinions.

The final decision would still be mine.
Don't worry people. I can pull it off.

Rain

I thought that the rain has stopped, but it rained for two days consecutively.

reasons aren't that important!

"我喜欢你因为你明明不是我喜欢的类型但是我喜欢你。" by 林达浪 - ‘海派甜心’。

well.. i think this is what you need to know, you love someone for no explicit reason, you just don't know. you love the person for being themselves. this is unconditional love, true love?

Update - Activities..

I think it is essential for me to blog more frequently after I left Junior College and Hostel as this would be the one of the few platforms for my friends to catch up with me and see what I have been doing since we have parted.

Yeap. So let me start talking about what I have done for the past week.

The Promenade- Bella Sera.
It was a wonderful night, especially so when we get to snap photographs with schoolmates and have a quick chat. Yeah, I took whole lots of pictures with my friends,but unfortunately could not take with everyone I knew in the past 2 years. It is really difficult to find them all but I think i managed to at least took at least half of them? =)
I wouldn't comment on food here as it is not the main highlight of the event, having the last chance to socialize is the utmost importance here. But, if you were wondering whether it is nice, in my opinion, it is edible and average.
After the prom, we went back to out hotel room, by the way, I kena caught for absent without overnight leave for the first time. haha.. but anyway, doesn't really matter then or now. in our hotel room, we spent our whole night playing cards, dai-di, bridge and hearts. I suck at dai-di, am average bridge but i owned hearts. =) The funny thing is that I never slept at the hotel that night, i left at 6am in the morning back to the boarding school.

Then, I went back and bathe, then send Cheng Kiat to Changi Airport with Yihang and Ziming and met up with LooTing at the airport. We ate burger king and took some pictures and off we go to Bugis for our Karaoke session. 12pm to 6pm? haha...quite a long long long session, my throat also broken liao. hahaz... but my singing really sucks..sorry to those peeps (AhBao, Moxiang, Yihang, Ziming, Jonloong) who are in the singing room. After that we eat at somewhere nearby and went back to boarding school.

Pack pack pack stuffs to prepare to leave and finally went to my aunt's place. Also, went to Jeremy's house for relaxation. We played F.E.A.R, Counter Strike and FIFA10 along with Eugene, omg, i couldn't believe the two guys are even more timid than me. haha...very funny, when i see them play. Actually these games can make us even bolder. We also watched a movie online, the Hangover. By the way, he lives at Tampines.. far far!

Also went to East Coast Park with classmates, Aileen, Leying, Jiawen, Eugene, Jeremy, Kwang Yueh and Joshua. It was quite fun, we cycle around and snap photos everywhere and ate and chat together till night. What i realised about myself is that I don't talk much and this is bad, I just couldn't follow their conversation, so can just silently listen to the interesting stuffs they talk about as i dun usually talk about those stuffs you know. So, my friends, haha, sorry about that, if your thinking im like participating, but u can see that i at least tried..

So thats about it and u can look at the photos on my facebook!

FuN

Although today is a rainy day, I have experienced a certain amount of joy.

Firstly, I managed to bought myself a pair of cheap leather shoes for promenade, thanks to Loo Ting who recommended the shop to me. Hopefully the shoe is suitable for use in a workplace as I think it might seem a bit glossily silver.

Secondly, I had my hair cut. Not to say that it is an extreme makeover, but at least it do have some changes, and I am quite happy about it. I wouldn't dare to have the extreme makeover now but i think might do it next year. Although it might be a bit expensive, but it is worth the service.

Thirdly, I enjoyed good food today too. I had Secret Recipe first at Marina Square. There is ham and melted cheese inside the chicken, dip it into ketchup-like sauce and taste delicious, but still okay lah, not that superior. Later in the night, went to ION Orchard to have proper dinner at 鹿港小鎮. No words can even describe the feeling of wholeness while eating the duck, the tofu, etc. Yummy! I think I would bring my parents to eat, so that we can order more good food. haha...

Okay thats about it i think.

p/s: at first i wanted to post my before and after photos of my picture, but i realised that there is not much difference anyway, so i think it is not needed.

see ya around! good luck!
cheers!

going back

btw, my parents are fetching me ==> meaning they are coming down to Singapore through car! wow... LOL.... it will be such a long journey. but anyway, no choice lah.
I have too many luggage to take back and I don't think the bus can accommodate all my belongings, additionally they coming to have a few days of holidays in Singapore.

anyway, i think i might have the chance to drive on the highway for the first time because i doubt that my father would be driving all the way from Singapore to Ipoh right? that will be tiring and i guessed he would want me to drive, perhaps a portion of the journey, so as to rest and allow me to gain experience driving at high speed on the highway.

haha...couldn't wait...but provided that what i think is true. LOL.

=====

a few things that i should do when i go back.
i will exercise to keep my body fit, it is time to build up my muscle. XD
and i shall continue practicing my guitar.
also, would like to learn to play the keyboard! haaha...
and finally sing and play an instrument concurrently! yay!

=====

not to say that i might catch up with some taiwan dramas or watch movies
+ hang out with friends...

or work....either in Malaysia or Singapore, depending on the opportunities that would lay in front of me...

=====

aha... end of this month, have a vacation with my family at Lucky Valley which i don't really know where it is.

and next month, I shall go for a holiday trip to Dubai with my beloved sister and her friend and cousin to my aunt's place over there. I bet it will be fun!

=====

places that i would like to go include Taiwan and Hong Kong.

Taiwan, I think there are like lots of good food there.
Hong Kong, visit my hongkie friend who was my ex-roomate whom I have not seen him since Sec 4!

======

good luck everybody with what u will be doing!

everything has ended

and yes, the 'A' Levels is finally over.
I took the last paper yesterday although it felt as though it has already ended since there was a long gap between the second last and last paper.

congratulations to myself for enduring this whole 2 years and finally finish what we were meant to complete.

additionally, i hereby wish my juniors a very good luck for yours coming in about a year time. =D haha.

=====

any plans for me after the 'A' Levels?
obviously yes!
we have our one and only promenade night!
i guess everyone is going to wear nice clothes.
i think mine would do fine.
all i have to do is to try the black tie that Jeremy is lending to me and buy a pair of leather shoes as well as doing something about my hair.

hmm...regarding future plans, i'm still thinking, and there is still nothing concrete in my mind.

=====

hooray!

This is something worth celebrating!

Dear Readers,
I have a piece of good news.
Before I share it, I shall apologize that I did not update my blog consistently.
Finally, Preliminary Examinations is over, but not to be too happy yet, THE 'A' Levels is around the corner. Let's not talk about that now.
Yeap, what's great to celebrate? Celebrate the end of Prelims? Nope!

Our Preliminary Examination results are out. All out.
And I am proud to announce that I passed all my subjects for the first time throughout the 2 years of education in Junior College. This is such a remarkable achievement, just fortunate enough to obtain this commendation on the last school based examination. I applaud to myself.

For those who are curious about my overall grades, I can say that I did not do that excellent or that under-performing. At least I got a relative average mark. The marks below has been take into account of the moderation of marks by the school.

In order of merit:
Chemistry C
Economics D
Mathematics D
Biology D
General Paper E

Yes, my results are quite satisfactory and I am happy about it.
As Mrs Foo said, the final battle is yet to come. No matter what grade you get now, you still can obtain excellent results at the 'A' Levels.

Well Done, Edison Cheam Jia Jun! =D
